Duties of the Sheriff

The Sheriff serves as an officer of the court. His duties involve delivering and carrying out orders of county courts and transporting prisoners. He is empowered to serve writs, processes, and other judicial documents. The Sheriff is also responsible for investigating county residents applying for gun permits and issuing a firearms license.
