Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the shooting death of a Wyandanch man.  

First Precinct police officers were called to 46 North 13th St. in Wyandanch after a man was found shot in the head at approximately 11 p.m. on March 7. Roman C. Taylor Jr. had been shot as he was walking into his apartment. Taylor Jr., 23, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.  

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
