Incident: Central Islip Man Shot in his Driveway
Location: 1278 Ferndale Blvd., Central Islip
Date/Time: November 18, 2009, at 9:00 p.m.
 
 

Suffolk County Police Department Third Squad detectives are investigating a shooting incident which left a 20 year old Central Islip man in critical condition.  

Franklin Xavier Gallimore of 1278 Ferndale Blvd. , Central Islip , was standing in his driveway with a friend when he was shot twice by an unknown assailant. Gallimore was struck in the face and left leg. He was airlifted to the University Medical Center at Stony Brook with multiple facial fractures and a fractured left femur. He is listed in critical condition.  

Preliminary investigation has determined that multiple shots were fired at Gallimore with two striking him. The shots were fired from a light colored sedan that was stopped in front of his home. The car was last seen fleeing south on Ferndale Blvd.
