A message from the Suffolk County Health Services Commissioner

In my first few months on the job I have quickly gained an appreciation for the depth and breadth of the many services provided by our Department of Health Services and I feel blessed by the excellent personnel we have in each of our divisions, individuals who are dedicated, hard working and motivated. I look forward to strengthening, to the extent possible, the department and enhancing the services provided by our many divisions.
One of the areas I would definitely like to stress, both within the department and externally to the public, is communication. The launch of our department’s new website is a perfect example of how the department intends to remain dynamic about information sharing while taking advantage of the internet to enhance our public health messages, providing access to health information, and reaching out to the public. The layout of this website has been streamlined to assist Suffolk County residents in expeditiously and easily obtaining important information.
