About the The Suffolk County Naturalization Project

To Search for a Naturalization Record:

1. Enter the Last Name in the Family Name field.
       Example:  Entering Fe in the Family Name field finds all names that start with the letters Fe such as Fettinget, Fey, Ferling, Feller, etc.
2. Enter the Last Name in the Family Name field And the Given Name/Partial Name in the Given Name Field.
       Example:  Entering the letter B in the Partial Given Name field finds all names that start with the letters B such as Barbara, Barry, Bob, etc.
3. Enter a name in the Sounds Like Family Name Field to search for all records where the family name sounds like the name entered.
4. Note: If you have entered a name in the Family Name Field then the search will use this value and not any value entered into the Sounds Like Family Name Field.
