Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and read aloud by the Commissioners of Elections, County of Suffolk, Yaphank Avenue, Yaphank, New York 11980, at 11:00 a.m.on Thursday, June 24, 2010 for the “Transportation of Voting Machines: Ballot Marking Devices (BMDs) and Tabulators, together with Privacy Booths for Certain Elections to be Held in 2010 and 2011, with Options for 2012 and 2013 And Temporary Storage of Lever Voting Machines on a Month to Month Basis, through March 31, 2011.”
Copies of the Invitation to Bid and all required Bid submission forms may be obtained at the offices of the Board of Elections, or by email request to Tom Knobel atThomas.knobel@suffolkcountyny.gov, or at the Board of Election’s website at http://www.suffolkcountyny.gov/departments/boardofelections.aspxon or after Thursday, May 20, 2010.
Technical questions regarding specifications which are e-mailed to Tom Knobel at Thomas.knobel@suffolkcountyny.gov. by Thursday, June 10, 2010 will be answered by Friday, June 18, 2010. Administrative questions may be addressed to Tom Knobel at 631-852-4561. The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all Bids. Furthermore, notwithstanding the award and execution of a contract with one or more companies, the Commissioners reserve the right to not utilize such company (or companies) for some or all elections in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
