Downpayment Assistance Program

The Community Development Office implements the Suffolk County Downpayment Assistance Program. This program provides first-time homebuyers with federal funds for a portion of the downpayment. The program has assisted over 1100 families become homeowners. The program provides  75 per cent of the downpayment up to $14,000 depending on household income. Applications can be obtained by calling the Community Development Office at (631) 853-5705.
